This tutorial will teach you how to turn a day photograph into a nightime photograph using Photoshop.
Begin by opening your image in Photoshop.
Now you need to turn your image to grey. Do this by going to image - adjustments - desaturate.
Next you need to turn your image to blue. Make it as blue as you like. Do this by going to image - adjustments - colour balance. Add in some cyan too!
Now copy the layer by draggin it down to the copy layer button.
Select your ‘background copy’ layer and change the blending mode from normal to multiply.
Now you can flatten the image by going to layer - flatten image. Erase some of the light using the healing tool.
You can set the layer ‘multiply’ opacity if you don’t like your result or you can copy that layer several times to make it even darker. And that’s it … day to night!
